ShibataFenderTeam signs its second consecutive contract with Sociedad Portuaria Mardique in Colombia

Mardique is a private multipurpose port for public use located in Cartagena, Colombia. The port has a strategic position to reduce international and domestic transshipments due to its good connection to the hinterland of the country. The fluvial wharf was the first to be built, in 2018; some years later, in 2020, the client and owner Sociedad Portuaria Mardique entrusted ShibataFenderTeam again to equip the new maritime terminal.

Mainly dedicated to liquid bulk and general cargo, this new berth is 150m long with additional mooring dolphins to handle vessels of 180m to 200m in length. To safely accommodate the berthing of this vessel type, SFT delivered in total 14 sets of SPC Cone Fender Systems (1600 G1.2) and 16 T-Head Bollards (150 tons).
