SFT has equipped special terminal for energy industry in Mexico with Cone Fender Systems

Altamira is a port city located on the Gulf of Mexico in the state of Tamaulipas in southeastern Mexico. Our client Desmontes y Presas de las Huastecas (DPH) respectively its subsidiary Puertos Integrales del Sureste SA. ( PISSA) provides integrated solutions for construction projects and specializes in developing the necessary infrastructure for transportation, logistics and storage of materials required for the construction of wind turbines and operations related to the energy industry. To ensure smooth operations, a dedicated terminal for the needs of the energy construction industry was built and put into operation in 2021. The general cargo terminal, with a total area of 35.7 hectares and a 300-meter berth, now allows the unloading of oversized materials, such as parts of wind turbines.

For safe berthing, the project contractor CIMESA has entrusted SFT in April of 2019 with the supply of 5 sets of SPC 1150 Cone Fender Systems and 5 pieces of T Head Bollards with a capacity of 100 tons. The very strict deadlines an tight schedules required a very good and open communication with the contractor and the fender systems were delivered successfully and in time, in August of 2019.

We are pleased to contribute our part to a safer berthing environment at the specialized terminal. SFT Group wishes PISSA and all operators a successful business in Altamira! (#0813)
