Largest molded rubber products in the world delivered to Pengerang, Malaysia

ShibataFenderTeam recently finished the delivery of 58 sets of different types of CSS 1450, CSS 2250, CSS 2500 & CSS 3000 Cell Fender systems to the largest independent Deepwater oil terminal in Pengerang, Malaysia.

Amongst the fenders, there are several CSS 3000 fenders which can be considered as some of the largest molded rubber products in the world. The steel panels for these fenders have a size of 6.2 m x 7.5 m. Due to their size they were produced in Malaysia and had to be loaded directly to a barge to be then transported to the site.

This was the first order that was registered under ShibataFenderTeam Malaysia. The handling of the order and the successful delivery confirmed an excellent start for our new office in Kuala Lumpur -congratulations to our team for a fantastic job.

The overall production time for all the items took more than one year. The fenders for berth 6204 and 6212 are already installed whilst Jetty 2 is still under construction. The full construction phase should be completed in December 2017.
